ILLUMARIS PROGRAM • AUTONOMOUS LOGISTICS

DARROM

Deployable Autonomous Resupply and Robotics Operations Module

An open, platform-agnostic mission orchestration layer for multi-domain autonomous resupply in contested and D-DIL environments.

THE MISSION PROBLEM

Autonomous delivery assets do not automatically create an autonomous logistics system.

Air and ground robotic platforms continue to improve, but operators still face a fragmented mission chain: request generation, platform choice, payload compatibility, route constraints, communications, degraded navigation, handoff, exception management and delivery confirmation.

DARROM is designed to make that chain behave as one mission workflow.

THE CONCEPT

One request. The right robotic asset. Delivery confirmed.

DARROM separates the logistics mission from the underlying vehicle. It is not another airframe or ground robot. It is the orchestration layer that can connect mission intent to Government- or customer-selected autonomous delivery assets.

01REQUESTSupported element submits a mission need.
02ORCHESTRATEDARROM evaluates task, asset, payload and constraints.
03EXECUTESelected air or ground asset performs the mission.
04CONFIRMMission state and delivery are closed out.

DESIGN PRINCIPLES

Designed around the mission, not a favorite platform.

Open

Use documented interfaces and adapters so improved UAS, UGV, communications and payload technologies can be inserted over time.

Resilient

Design lost-link, degraded communications, constrained navigation and recovery behavior from the start.

Human Authority

Preserve defined approval, intervention and abort authority instead of treating autonomy as the absence of human control.

Mission Configurable

Keep the operator workflow stable while underlying vehicles, payloads and mission conditions change.

ARCHITECTURE

The orchestration layer sits between mission need and robotic execution.

MISSION / OPERATORRequest • authority • priority • constraints • confirmation
DARROM ORCHESTRATIONMission state • asset matching • tasking • monitoring • retasking • exception handling
PLATFORM ADAPTERSCommon interfaces mapped to vehicle-specific command, status and payload functions

DEVELOPMENT POSTURE

Build evidence before making claims.

DARROM is a development-stage Illumaris program. Public materials intentionally distinguish the mission architecture from a fielded integrated system. The development path is to define interfaces, integrate representative platforms, exercise degraded modes, validate mission workflows and build the evidence needed for Government evaluation and transition.

No public statement on this site should be read as a claim that DARROM is an operationally fielded system or that any named platform provider is a contracted partner.

ENGAGEMENT

Where we want to collaborate.

Illumaris is interested in mission owners and technical organizations that can help move DARROM from architecture to instrumented integration and field-relevant demonstration.

Government

Contested logistics, autonomous resupply, distributed sustainment, expeditionary operations and technology experimentation.

Platforms & Technology

UAS, UGV, payload, communications, navigation, sensing and autonomy providers willing to expose documented integration interfaces.

Test & Transition

Organizations that can support hardware-in-the-loop, field demonstration, human-factors evaluation, cyber review and operational transition.
